To complete our educational event of butter making, we used the byproduct buttermilk to make wonderful bread buns to accompany the delicious butter we just made.
We used this recipe, however, I replaced half of the flour with whole wheat flour, and instead of loaves, we made buns.
So, this is buttermilk -homemade!
We followed the recipe somewhat. I made a few changes and added some whole wheat flour.
The kids learned about yeast and why kneeding is important in bread making.
All buttered up and ready to go into the oven!
Piping hot yes, but delicious! The homemade butter is ah-mazing!!
